The LEGO Movie Maker kit has characters, sets, and instructions to create homemade movies. To record your LEGO movie, you’ll need a smartphone or tablet. Aside from that, the only thing you need to add is your imagination for tons of fun short films to come to life.

Do you have budding cinematic vision? Put it to good use with the LEGO Movie Maker kit! This home kit allows you to create all sorts of short movies with the included supplies and your imagination.
In the Klutz LEGO Movie Maker kit, you’ll find:
- 6 foldout paper backgrounds
- 36 LEGO minifigures and props, like a pizza and a banana
- A 78-page book filled with ideas
- Punch-out animation frames
With these supplies and the provided ideas, you’ll be able to create 10 short films! The book provides step-by-step instructions, so you learn exactly how to create stop motion films.
Once you’re a little more confident in movie making abilities, feel free to add other LEGOs you might have in for additional props. Then, create all new scenes – the only limits are your imagination!
In addition to the supplies in the kit, you will need an app to actually create the movie. Originally, there was a LEGO Movie Maker app, but that has been discontinued.
As an alternative, choose any stop motion app you like. There are a variety of free apps available that are compatible with both Android, iPhone, and iPad systems, for use with a smartphone or tablet.
If you’re willing to spend the additional $5.00 then the Stop Motion Studio Pro is one of the best apps for LEGO stop motion. The additional sound effects and music offered in this version really take your creations to the next level!
