BlissLights Sky Lite Laser Star Projector Bring the Galaxy Home
Remember how awesome we thought the planetarium was as a kid? Well, what if we could experience that same fun as an adult? I was thinking of adding a BlissLights Sky Lite laser star projector to the theatre we installed in our finished basement. Then, we can sit in our grown up planetarium and enjoy the stars! Star projectors work by shining a bright light through a series of cutouts. Most modern units use LED lights since they remain cool yet bright. The light shines through an orb or disc containing star shapes, so that they project on the wall and ceiling. Some units rotate, offering a changing scene.

Use the power button to toggle the lights on and off, and the brightness button to adjust to the desired level. Move the projector closer or farther from the wall to change the star spread until it’s just the way you like. Finally, choose whether or not you’d like the stars to rotate or be stationary. No matter what you choose, your room will become a galactic delight!

Are laser star projectors safe?
Laser star projectors are entirely safe if used correctly. There’s no issue when viewing the projections on a wall with the naked eye. Staring directly into the laser of the projector, however, is unsafe. The concentration of light in a small focal point can be damaging to the eye.
Always keep a laser projector away from the direct line of sight of children and pets. Placement on a shelf or counter above eye level is recommended. Never leave small children unsupervised around the projector when it is on.
