Oh no, I guess a mosquito got me when I wasn’t looking. Well, I don’t want to be itching non-stop tomorrow. Hand me that Bug Bite Thing suction tool, would you? You want to know if a bug bite suction tool works?
Bug bite suction tools do work, though they vary in effectiveness based on the individual. They are designed to suction the saliva or venom from the bite or sting site. As such, the sooner you use one, the more effective it is. The less time your body has to react, the better the result will be.

When an insect bites or stings you, it leaves behind venom or saliva under your skin. That’s where the Bug Bite Thing suction tool comes in. It works via pressure to suck that stuff out, which in turn reduces or eliminates your body’s response. That’s the itching and swelling of course.
The Bug Bite Thing works on a variety of common household bugs, such as:

It’s compact, lightweight, and even has a hole to pop on a key ring. Any time you get bitten or stung, simply place the end of the tool over the affected site. If you were stung, you should also ensure that you remove the stinger first. Thankfully the non-keyring side of the handle serves as a scraper to assist.
Next, make sure you have a good seal on your skin. Then, just pull up on the handles, and hold for 10-20 seconds. Release, and you’ll find that the tool has suctioned the venom or saliva out from your skin, to be wiped away. It has a simple one-handed operation – even a child can do it! Since there are no chemicals or medications involved, it’s completely safe as well.
