What are you kids doing with all those old scraps of wood? You want to play Tetris in real life? I have a better idea, now come here before yinz get a splinter. Try out the Tetris balance game instead. It’s real life 3D Tetris you stack to play.
The Tetris balance game combines the classic puzzle video game with a real life 3D game board. The base is curved and will roll side to side according to weight distribution. Not only will you need to stack blocks to fit each other, but you’ll need to balance the base to prevent a fall.
Use critical thinking and fine motor skills to win this epic Tetris balance game!
The classic game of Tetris is one that most everyone knows and loves. Alright, I at least love it when I’m winning. Now, you can bring that fun into a puzzle board game with the Tetris balance game.
In the box, you’ll find:
- U-Shaped balance board base
- Stand for table use
- Four green Tetris pieces
- Two yellow components
- Five red Tetris blocks
- Four blue blocks
Each of the pieces comes in an assortment of shapes, such as a ‘T’, ‘L’, square, zigzag, and that stupid long I-shaped piece I never get when I need. Don’t they know I’m trying to get a Tetris here?
All components are made from non-toxic ABS plastic. It’s brightly colored, and extremely durable. No matter how many times you collapse the tower, the pieces just bounce back.
While recommended for ages 3+ due to the small parts, this is a game that’s enjoyed by all ages. It even makes a great drinking game for adults. I challenge you to try stacking this thing after a couple drinks. I guarantee it’ll be a laugh!
How do you play the Tetris balance game?
Here is how to play the Tetris balance game:
- Place the U-Shaped base on the stand
- Begin to stack Tetris pieces on the base
- If 2 players are playing, alternate turns stacking
- The player who adds a piece that causes the base to tip and fall loses
Play for as many rounds as you like (though I recommend 3 or 5), depending how long you’d like to play. If you’re just stacking solo, you can’t really lose the game per se. However, when you topple the tower it’s time to start again!
This game encourages critical thinking, as you’ll not only need to fit a piece by shape, but you’ll also need to consider weight distribution to keep things centered. Work on fine motor skills, as you’ll need a steady hand the taller the tower gets.
