I’ve Got A Bad Feeling About This – Star Wars Card Game

3

I’m excited for game night, and I’ve got a bad feeling about this. No, it’s not some sense of impending doom. I brought the Star Wars I’ve Got a Bad Feeling About This card game! Look, as long as everyone plays nice, no one needs to end up in Carbonite tonight.

Throughout the Star Wars saga, every movie has contained someone with a bad feeling. Whether it’s Han Solo, Obi-Wan Kenobi, or even BB-8, the line has become iconic. It’s no surprise then that Hasbro has created this card game surrounding the feeling of impending doom we know and love.

Take game night to a galaxy far, far away with the I’ve Got a Bad Feeling About This card game!

The Hasbro card game I’ve Got a Bad Feeling About This takes you on a journey into the Star Wars saga. It’s a perfect choice for board game night, with play for 2-8 players. While it’s recommended for ages 12 and up, adults will have a blast!

Players will have to outwit and outlast their opponents to win the game. Along the way, you’ll experience some hilarious and unexpected consequences. For example, you may use an Escape card that requires you to announce that “It’s a trap!” every time you play a card. Now I know why I had that bad feeling in my stomach!

This deck contains 63 cards and a rulebook, and is sure to bring intergalactic delight to your game night. Each card features iconic characters from the Star Wars universe. You’ll find abilities that match their personalities and famous lines brought to life.

How do you play the I’ve Got a Bad Feeling About This card game?

I’ve Got a Bad Feeling About This is simple to play, and we’ll walk you through how to do so. Below, you’ll find how to set up, play, and win this game:

Objective and Winning:

You win I’ve Got a Bad Feeling About This if you are the last player standing. You achieve this by everyone else exhausting their ability to counteract No cards. This is why there is always one less No card in the deck compared to the number of players. It is what decides the winner of the game.

Setup:

  • Remove the red ‘No’ cards and the blue ‘Escape’ cards from the deck
  • Shuffle all remaining cards (the black cards)
  • Deal 4 regular cards face down to each player in the game – players may look at their cards, but keep them secret from others
  • Now, deal 1 blue Escape card face down to each player
  • Place remaining Escape cards face up in the middle of the play area – this becomes the discard pile
  • Add enough red No cards into the regular deck to match one less player than you have. For example, if you are playing with 4 people, place 3 No cards into the deck. Shuffle the deck, and this becomes your draw pile
  • Place the rest of the No cards back into the box

Play:

  • Whoever looks most like a Wookie gets to play first, and play rotates to the left unless interrupted
  • On your turn, you will first play a card (if you want – if not, skip straight to draw step) by placing it face up on the discard pile, and then follow the instructions on the card. Example instructions include:
      • Stealing a card from another player
      • Forcing a player to discard a card
      • Swapping hands with someone else
      • Reshuffling the deck
  • Note: if the card does not specify that you must end your turn, you may continue to play as many cards as you like until you must end
  • If you draw a red No card from the deck, you are out of the game unless you play an Escape card to block it. Everyone will have one Escape from the start of the game if it hasn’t been stolen by another player.
  • Each Escape card will make you perform an action for the rest of the game after playing it. Some examples are:
      • Speaking like Yoda
      • Stating ‘It’s a trap!’ on every card you play
  • Finally, end your turn – and don’t worry, even if you’re out of cards, you’re not out of the game yet. Just draw a card on your next turn, skipping the initial play step.
  • Sometimes, you may play cards outside your own turn. These cards stop other player actions and will state that they may be played at any time.
