This 11-ounce ceramic mug features a unique heat sensitive design on the outside. What appears to be a solid black mug reacts upon the addition of hot liquid.
Add in your coffee, tea, or hot chocolate and you’ll see the familiar steps of the Marauder’s Map begin to appear. In addition to the steps, Hogwarts map fragments and “I solemnly swear I’m up to no good” will appear. The opposite side of the mug has “Mischief Managed” appear as well.
Can you put a heat changing mug in the microwave?
While technically safe, it is not recommended to put a heat changing mug in the microwave.
It won’t cause any chemical reactions or the mug to shatter. However, it will break down the heat-changing properties of the finish early. Thus, putting your Harry Potter heat changing mug in the microwave will shorten its lifespan.
This applies to the dishwasher as well. While technically safe, hand washing is advised for the greatest enjoyment from your mug.
