While arcade Skee Ball and home Roll and Score games are veritably the same play-wise, they have differences in the game balls. Skee Balls are made from compressed sawdust that’s sealed into a hard, round ball. Roll and Score balls are soft, made of silicone or plastic, and much lighter weight.

The Hall of Games Roll and Score game is an arcade classic Skee Ball machine made for your home! The game table is constructed from composite wood and metal with a one-piece 1/2” thick solid flat rolling surface.
PVC laminate coating and printed graphics makes for a smooth rolling experience. Fully assembled, it measures 108″ L x 24. 5″ W x 60. 75″ H. This model of Roll and Score is black with blue accent features, for a modern, sleek look.

How do you play Roll and Score?
Here is how to play Roll and Score, the rolling ball game:
- Press the power button, located on the top of the left-side rail
- Next, press the start button, located on the lower half of the power button
- Press the start button twice for two-player mode
- Begin rolling the balls down the playing surface, one at a time
- Try to aim for the colored holes at the end. The more difficult shot, the more points it’s worth
- After 10 balls have been thrown, your final score is calculated
In two-player mode, each person will have the chance to throw balls, and the higher scoring player is considered the winner.
A durable ABS plastic ring clearly marks each scoring hole. You’ll find 30, 40, and 50 in the middle, and 100’s on the top corners. A clear acrylic cover above the scoring area keeps balls from flying out of play, and this game features an automatic ball return system!
What can I use for Roll and Score replacement balls?
The best replacement balls for a Roll and Score game are those of a similar material and the same size. Generally, standard racquetball balls or lacrosse balls will serve as the best alternatives to the ones the game comes with.
The game set includes four 2.5” diameter rubber balls. I find racquetball balls to be the closest equivalent that’s a suitable replacement ball for the Roll and Score game.
You can also use lacrosse balls, but they have a denser core and weigh a little more, so they may take some getting used to to perfect your throw.
