What’s all the screaming about in here? You kids think that zombies are coming to eat you? You’ve been watching too many television shows again. Look, real zombies only exist on the Walking Dead. I gotcha Zombie Gotcha though, so if you want to test the speed of zombie hands, give it a try! Now, let’s go enjoy game night together!
Zombie Gotcha is a matching card game that’s appropriate for kids and adults. Players will need to assemble matching cards to free themselves from the clutches of a zombie. The more daring you are, the more likely you are to get grabbed by the zombie. However, the risk can be worth the rewards if you escape first and win.
Let your kids bring a little fun fright to game night with Zombie Gotcha!
Zombie Gotcha is a card game in which players need to escape the clutches of the zombie! Alright that probably sounds a little more dramatic – we’ve been watching too much Walking Dead. In Zombie Gotcha, players are (metaphorically) locked in a house with a zombie and need to escape. To do so, they must pass through three locked doors that can only be opened with the matching keys. You can only see one lock at a time, adding a little more complexity to the game.
The rules for playing Zombie Gotcha are easy to understand for children and adults alike. Obtain keys through two different methods of drawing cards. On your turn, you can draw a single card from the draw pile. Alternatively, you can choose to draw two cards, but you must do so directly from the zombie’s hand. The risk here is that the zombie could grab your hand at any time! If the player is grabbed by the zombie, you lose your card, and an additional locked door is added to your pile. Each locked door takes two matching key cards to open. However, if you’re lucky, the risk may be worth the reward!
The first player to unlock all of their locks and “escape” is declared the winner! Zombie Gotcha can be played with 2-4 players, making it a perfect addition to family game night. It’s simple enough for younger children, but adds enough surprise to keep older kids entertained as well. It’s a great choice for a birthday party! If you and your family like zombies and card games, then you’ll love Zombie Gotcha!
