The Flair smart vent system is so easy to operate, you’ll wonder why you hadn’t switched sooner. Control it right from your smart phone! With the option of an iOS or Android app, as well as a web app, you can adjust the temperature from anywhere.
It also has a scheduling feature up to 7 days in advance. Make sure that your rooms are the perfect temperature when you arrive home from work or vacation. Schedule each vent differently for separate rooms too!
Made of durable steel, these smart vents are easy to install too. They come equipped with pressure and temperature sensors to keep your HVAC system safe.
If you’re handy, wire them in. If not, they’ll function with 2 C batteries (included) instead. Don’t fret about the batteries, either. A Flair vent generally operates for more than a year on a fresh set of batteries!
Please note that you will also need to install at least one Flair Puck (sold separately) for the smart vents to function.
How does Flair smart vent work?
The Flair smart vent system works based on the desired temperature you select. It will open and close vents across your home to achieve the indicated setting evenly. Unlike a traditional vent system, this eliminates the hot and cold pockets created from uneven vent placement.
If you have different needs in different rooms, you’ll just need to set up zones in your home. Then, each zone may be programmed with its own settings for ultimate comfort.
For instance, I prefer to keep my upstairs at a minimum during the day to save energy. I heat or cool it depending on the season automatically before bedtime, so I always have a comfortable space to walk into.
You can set the temperature in the app on your smartphone, directly from the Flair Puck, or with your Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
How many Flair vents do I need?
If you just have one room with temperature issues, then you need just one Flair vent. If you want to just upgrade the whole house, you need as many Flair vents as you have currently existing standard sized registers in your home.
Every room with a vent will need a Puck to allow customization and monitoring of that specific room. If you’re integrating with an Ecobee or Honeywell smart thermostat they’ll do the monitoring, so you only need one Puck.
All Pucks across your home chain together, with only the original one needing a direct power supply and Wi-Fi connection. All others are sensors only and communicate with the original over the Wi-Fi signal. Since they draw less power, battery operation is fine for the additional Pucks.
