Beer Pong Golf – The Ultimate Backyard Party Combo Game
So, what games are we having for the party this weekend? I was thinking cornhole, and beer pong for the adults. No, golf isn’t a party game. Well, maybe I was wrong, now that I see your beer pong golf game. This sounds like the perfect idea for a backyard barbecue!
A beer pong golf game set is the perfect mashup of golf, beer pong, and cornhole. This backyard game may be used with or without drinking involved, making it suitable for kids and adults alike. Everything in the set folds into a carrying case for the park, beach, tailgate, or anywhere the party is.
Bring all your favorite games together in one with a beer pong golf game set!
There’s no more arguing over which game we’re playing at the barbecue now that I bought a beer pong game set. This is the perfect combination of putt putt golf, beer pong, and cornhole!
The set comes with the makings of a true backyard blast:
- Two target boards, each with 6 cups in them
- 16 foam golf balls, 8 of each in red and blue
- 2 turf mats, for that official tee off
- 12 hole covers: enough to cover all the cups in the boards
- A carrying bag for portability
- Instructions
Note that clubs are not included. You could grab a putter from your regular golf set if you’ve got one. However, I like these adjustable mini golf clubs. This makes it easy to use for kids, teens, and adults alike.
So, what makes it like the other backyard games? Well, you’ll be putting or chipping golf balls instead of throwing ping pong balls. However, you’re still aiming for cups (which are probably filled with beer if you’re an adult). Add a slanted board like you see in cornhole games, and you’ve got a unique mashup!
The game is designed for 2-4 players, just like beer pong would be. It sets up in minutes with no tools required, so it’s easy to bring along to any backyard party, tailgate, or get together with friends.
How do you play golf beer pong?
- Set up the two target boards, preferably side by side
- Add plastic cups filled with beer into the pockets, if desired
- Place the putting greens about 15 feet away from the boards (standard chip shot distance)
- Each player or team selects a ball color
- The first player then chips a ball from the green, aiming for an opponent’s cup
- If a ball lands in the cup, the opposing team must drink and then cover the cup with a hole cover
- For teams, both players should take one shot before play rotates to the opposing team
- Play continues back and forth until one team lands a ball in every cup of the opponent’s board
- The team with remaining cups is declared the winner
As more holes are covered, the shots become more difficult to make. This is a great game to practice your golf skills, as well as enjoy a backyard game with friends!
Oh, and definitely don’t skip the artificial green mats. No one wants blades of real grass in their beer – I promise! For dirt-free drinks, take the pro approach of having separate cups filled with beer off to the side. Then, drink when the corresponding cup gets made.
