Every time we used to get in the car, I was fighting a tangled mess of cords just trying to get the phones plugged in. My new self winding magnetic charging cable has been an absolute lifesaver to deal with cord clutter!
A self winding magnetic charging cable is a standard USB cable with the addition of magnetic bands around the outside shell. As these magnets contact one another, they cause the cord to roll into a neat, even coil. This helps with cable management and keeps your space less cluttered.
Keep all your devices neat, accessible, and powered up with a self winding magnetic charging cable!
Cord clutter is the bane of my existence in this high-tech world. Thankfully, the self winding magnetic charging cable is a simple solution to cut down on cord spaghetti!
This magnetic charging cable is a standard USB to USB-C connection that supports 2.4A fast charging. It’s great for both charging and data transfer needs.
While it’s actually 3 feet long, you’ll hardly ever know it thanks to the innovative self winding technology. A dozen small magnetic strips are spaced along the silicone outer sleeve of the charging cord. When placed against one another, they grip just enough to keep your cord neatly wound.
When you need to plug the cord in, just gently pull to release as much as you need to reach your device. The rest of the cord stays neatly wound, taking up less space in your bag, your car, or on your desk. I like to throw it over my car shifter for easy access anytime.
This cable works with any device that takes a USB-C connection, including cell phones, tablets, and power banks. It’s also available in a self winding magnetic lightning cable for iOS devices.
Does a self winding magnetic charging cable work with a case?
Yes, a self winding magnetic charging cable does work with a case. The connector is exactly the same as a regular charging cable, so if a standard one works with your device and case, this one will as well.
The only difference is the cord management capabilities, which keep the cable coiled instead of loose.
Do self winding magnetic charging cables damage your phone?
No, self winding magnetic charging cables will not damage your phone.
The magnets themselves are pretty weak, and only intended to just keep the cables organized. Thus, they will cause no interference or damage. The connection to your phone is a normal USB-C plug and is not magnetized in and of itself.
