There are so many cords on my desk that I feel like they’re uncontrollable. Every time I need to plug or unplug something I’m fighting through a mass of electronic spaghetti. I bet Darth Vader never had this problem, he always knows exactly what to do. I’m going to channel him and put together this Star Wars AT-AT cable organizer to be my cord keeper.

This Star Wars AT-AT cable organizer is a fun DIY project and useful cord organizer all in one. The AT-AT arrives in pre-cut flat wooden sheets. To assemble, you snap the pieces out of the wood sheets, then follow the instructions to assemble them with the included screws and wing nuts. When complete, you have an awesome replica AT-AT that serves as a great cable organizer for your desk or home!
The main body section of the AT-AT has space to put a small (approximately 4 port) power strip right inside! The power cable feeds out the back side, where you can then plug it into your outlet. Then, simply plug in all your needed device cables directly into the power strip. Coil any unused cord lengths inside, then feed the needed plug ends out of one of the six openings on either side. Place the top on, and all your cords are safely hidden away, significantly reducing cord clutter!
In addition to being a cord keeper, the head of the AT-AT is also useful for the office. It has a small storage compartment that fits business cards perfectly, so you can keep them close at hand. If you don’t have business cards, you can always use it for paper clips, rubber bands, thumb tacks, or other useful office supplies!
