Kinetic Light Up Newton’s Cradle – Fresh Take on a Classic
Hey, that’s a pretty cool desk toy you have there. I think it’s one of those swinging perpetual motion things, right? It’s not just an ordinary toy, but a kinetic light up Newton’s Cradle? Well, now I want one that I can play with at my own desk!
The kinetic light up Newton’s Cradle breathes new life into the classic desk toy. Instead of the clacking of steel balls moving back and forth, this design uses plastic balls with LED lights. While it may have less sound and movement than the original, the kinetic lighting effect makes it unique.
A kinetic light up Newton’s Cradle is where science meets fun in this unique take on the classic desk toy!
Inspired by his very own Third Law, this kinetic light up Newton’s Cradle is an innovative take on a classic desk toy. The principle of the function is that for every action, there is an equal but opposite reaction. In the perpetual motion toy, this physics marvel manifests with the use of five hanging globes.
Simply pull one ball backwards and then release it. It will swing to hit the other balls in a line, which in turn displaces the sphere on the far end of the lineup. The kinetic motion will continue until it eventually dissipates and returns to the resting position.
Unlike the traditional perpetual motion Newton’s Cradle, this kinetic light model adds LEDs for even more fun. Upon contact, the bulbs inside each sphere will light up, transferring along each subsequent ball with the motion. Not only is it awesome to look at, but educational about the kinetic transfer of energy!
