I was planning on grilling hot dogs for dinner, but I’m starting to change my mind because of the rain. Plus, how could we get nice, toasted buns on the grill? I think we’ll use the Nostalgia hot dog toaster for our sausages and buns instead. This special retro toaster cooks the perfect dogs!
While putting a hot dog in a regular toaster isn’t recommended, you can cook it in a hot dog toaster. This specialized toaster is designed specifically to cook both hot dogs and buns. It does not have exposed heating elements and includes a custom sized sausage cage for safe use.
Make perfect hot dogs, sausages, and more with your hot dog and bun toaster!
The Nostalgia retro style hot dog toaster is designed to cook up all your favorites with the push of a button. It can hold up to four sausages at a time, and it’s not just limited to hot dogs. Veggie dogs, chicken or turkey dogs, and even brats work. As long as it’s the size of a regular, bun length, or extra plump hot dog, it works!
Not only can you get the perfect heat on your dogs, but you’ll give your buns that toasted treatment too! Four arched compartments allow for you to open and insert standard hot dog buns. While your dogs heat up, the buns will get a perfect toast, for the ultimate hot dog eating experience.
Much like a standard toaster, the hot dog toaster has 5 different levels. Adjust based on your preferred level of browning. This toaster also includes a stop button for safety if needed. Speaking of safety, an included pair of tongs will help you grab your dogs and buns safely – never stick a fork in the toaster!
Your retro Nostalgia toaster is a fun and easy way to feed the whole family. It’s perfect for that summer cookout feeling, even when the weather outside doesn’t cooperate. Plus, it’s a fast way to throw a kid-pleasing dinner together!
How do you clean a Nostalgia hot dog toaster?
Cleaning a Nostalgia hot dog toaster is much like a standard toaster. Unplug the machine, and spot clean the exterior with a cloth. Slide out the drip tray at the bottom, wash with warm, soapy water, dry, and return to toaster. Clean any residue off the hot dog cage with a cloth or sponge, then dry.
The toaster should only be used with pre-cooked sausages that only require warming. You shouldn’t experience significant fat output or buildup. Crumb accumulation from the buns is normal, and should be cleaned regularly to prevent a burn hazard.
