Fullstar Food Chopper – All in One Easy Prep Vegetable Cutter
What am I doing with this pile of tomatoes? Well, obviously I’m making salsa for Cinco de Mayo. With the help of my Fullstar food chopper, I’ll make short work of it. You want to know why it’s different from a food processor?
A vegetable chopper is different from a food processor in that it is not designed to pulverize or liquify. Instead, it uses a specially shaped screen which the food is forced through to cut into designated shapes. This could be slices, dices, spirals, and more. It provides a more clean, defined chop.
The Fullstar food chopper makes short work of all your cooking prep!
Fullstar’s food and vegetable chopper is your kitchen hero when it comes to prepping food. This manual vegetable chopper comes with 7 different inserts to make preparing all sorts of food take almost no time at all. It even comes with a bonus handheld peeler so you can prep your veggies for cutting. With a 5 cup capacity in the base, you can easily fit everything you need for dinner.
The container is made from BPA free food-safe ABS plastic, so you can be confident that your food remains non-toxic. A non-slip base keeps things secure for safety during the chopping process. Best of all, when you finish, cleanup is a breeze. Everything is top rack dishwasher safe. Just pop it in, and your Fullstar food chopper is clean and ready for the next project.
What can you use a food chopper for?
A food chopper works for all sorts of food preparation tasks. With the different inserts the Fullstar offers, here are some of the things you can use it for:
- Dicing vegetables, such as potatoes, onions, or tomatoes
- Cutting potatoes for french fries
- Spiralizing zucchini, carrots, and more
- Create ribbons, great for zucchini or potatoes
- Juicing oranges, lemons, or other citrus
- Slicing hard boiled eggs, mushrooms, apples, cucumbers, or strawberries
- Separating the egg whites from yolks
- Peel vegetables
- Julienne cut vegetables
The different attachments fit within an included blade organizer. This makes storage convenient, and doesn’t leave blades sitting out in drawers.
Can I use a food chopper for meat?
While a food chopper can technically cut meat, it is not recommended. The stainless steel blades are sharp enough, but will dull quickly when used on meat. The fat distribution cannot be controlled as readily as with a food processor. Plus, getting chopper blades sanitized is much more difficult.
How do you use a food chopper?
Using a food chopper is simple, which is what makes it a versatile kitchen tool. Here are the steps to follow to use your Fullstar food chopper:
- Place the unit on the counter
- Lift up the lid using the lip
- Insert the desired shape of chopping blade (make sure not to touch the blades themselves, only the sides)
- Slide the safety lock to secure it into place
- Place the food you’d like to cut directly on the chopping blade, cut side down if you’ve halved it
- Using both hands, firmly close and press down on the top lid to push the food through the blade
- Repeat until everything is chopped
- Remove the entire lid from the base, then retrieve the chopped items
- Wash with included cleaning tools in soap and water, or place on top shelf of dishwasher
That’s it – all your chopping is done in a fraction of the time. For other attachments, pressing down on the lid may not be necessary. When juicing, you’ll be able to press the fruit directly onto the juicing attachment. Simply follow the user manual for guidance on non-chopping blades.
