They may have closed down my favorite Chi-Chi’s restaurant, but that won’t stop me from becoming my own delicious burrito. I brought some snacks to make sure you’ve all eaten before I wrap up in this burrito blanket. I don’t want to think about what might happen otherwise around hungry people!
The burrito blanket, also known by the name tortilla blanket, is a novelty blanket designed to look like a nice, toasty tortilla. Instead of filling it with rice, beans, and meat, though, you’ll be wrapping yourself up. There’s nothing better than being a soft, warm human burrito.

This particular burrito blanket is a whopping 71” in diameter. However, it is available in several other sizes as well:
- 47” round
- 60” diameter
- 80” x-large version

How do you wrap a burrito blanket?
To wrap the burrito blanket like you’re a real human burrito, follow these simple steps:
- Spread the blanket flat on the ground, with the design facing the floor
- Lay down in the middle of the blanket, with your feet 10-12” from the bottom
- Fold up the bottom of the blanket up over your feet, spreading across the entire width
- Bring one of the sides snugly up over your body, tucking in excess underneath if needed
- Repeat with the other side, again tucking in excess under your body
You’re now a snug human burrito! I recommend crossing the top layers under your armpits to leave your hands free. However, if you want that true swaddled feel, just ask a friend to help roll you up. By friends, I don’t mean the nice folks at Chipotle. They looked at me funny when I asked.
