Back to the Future Calligram – FULL Movie Script in a Picture!
You want to go drive to a store to pick out artwork? Honey, where we’re going, we don’t need roads. I got this Back to the Future calligram artwork for us instead. Now I can relax and generate some fuel for Mr. Fusion.
A calligram is a unique style of art, wherein text is written and spaced in a specific way that creates an image. In this case, the entire script of the Back to the Future movie is used in this calligram. The formed picture depicts the Delorean and the lightning that are an iconic scene from the movie.

No longer will your walls be bare, when you spark joy with the addition of a Back to the Future calligram. This beautiful 18 x 24” print is a reproduction copy of the original artwork by Mike Matola. It’s printed on white 100 lb. uncoated gloss paper with blank ink, for a classic design.
The original work which this is produced from was created by hand. Matola painstakingly wrote the entire script of the Back to the Future movie out. Through a careful layout and spacing of words, he created the scene in which lighting strikes the clock tower to power the Delorean back….to the future.
Over 40 hours of handwriting ink on paper went into creating this masterpiece. The print is of course a replica, which allows a fan or collector to bring the work of art into their home to enjoy. I know my hand would hurt after about 5 minutes, let alone 40 hours. Who could replicate that hundreds of times?
Please note that this print ships rolled in a tube to prevent damage. The frame is not included, so you’ll be able to choose your favorite. However, I love this classic black and white gallery poster frame if you’re looking for recommendations.
