I hear an awful lot of muttering and weird noises coming from the kitchen. What do yinz have over there you’re reading? Is that a copy of the Necronomicon? You better not be summoning monsters in the kitchen. Oh, it’s The Necronomnomnom collection of Necronomicon cookbook recipes? I’m relieved that no H.P. Lovecraft inspired demons will appear in my kitchen.
The Necronomicon was originally written as an Arabic text. H.P. Lovecraft later adapted it into a collection of lore for print in the 20’s and 30’s. Certain characters like Cthulhu are still popular today. Since then, the lore has been adapted for video games, other books, and general pop culture.
