How do you winterize an outdoor fountain?
If you live in a climate with temperatures below freezing, you’ll need to winterize your fountain. First, drain all of the water from all parts of the fountain, and remove the pump if possible. Then, cover the fountain securely with a waterproof covering to prevent water getting inside over the winter.
If you have the space in a basement, shed, or closet, feel free to move your outdoor water fountain inside for further protection. This outdoor cascading fountain can also be used indoors, if you’d like to enjoy the fountain year round. However, it is recommended that you place it on top of a tray or mat that can catch moisture, as it will splash during use.
