The Amazon Luna controller is a must-have when it comes to upping your mobile cloud gaming experience. This handy controller works just like a controller from a video game console. Instead of connecting to a console, though, it accesses Amazon’s Cloud database of games.
Just like a normal gaming controller, the Luna features 12 different input buttons and a rumble functionality. It runs on 2 AA batteries (included) or may be plugged in via USB-C to a Windows PC or Mac (cable not included).
In addition to the controller itself, you’ll need a monitor on which to view the game. Thankfully you have a variety of options! The Luna is compatible with:

- iPhone
- iPad
- Chromebook
- Android devices (9+)
In fact, this particular Luna controller model comes with a clip to mount your phone directly to it! It features an adjustable size of 2.26 inches to 3.74 inches, which fits most iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, and other common smartphones.
You’re also able to rotate the phone 360 degrees and adjust the controller angle 270 degrees, to achieve the perfect view!
The controller connects via Wi-Fi (2.4 or 5 GHz) to the Cloud to access all of the great game titles. Note that you do need a subscription for Amazon Luna. A family plan starts at $2.99 per month, the Luna plus plan is $5.99 per month, and the Ubisoft library is accessible at $17.99 per month.
There are currently nearly 100 different games available to play, with more being added to the library regularly.
To get the Luna set up, simply download the free app to your smart device. Then, connect your controller to the Wi-Fi using the app. Now, you’re ready to play on your compatible device directly from the Cloud!
