This 50” A Christmas Story leg lamp is a size-correct replica of the prop used during the film. While none of the originals survived, thankfully they’ve been recreated so you can bring home your own piece of the magic. Proudly display this work of art prominently in the front window!
Get your crowbar ready, the 50” A Christmas Story leg lamp has arrived!
Alright, in fairness you probably don’t need a crowbar to open this A Christmas Story leg lamp. It doesn’t really arrive in a crate, but instead two modern cardboard boxes. However, they’re still marked ‘fragile’ on the sides, true to the iconic design.
This 50” tall version of the lamp replicates the original seen in the classic Christmas comedy. The leg itself is made from molded plastic mounted on a round wooden base. Top it off with a 20” wide poly/cotton blend shade.
Witness all of the details painstakingly recreated in real life! You’ll note the knobby knee, thigh high fishnet, fringed shade, stiletto shoe, and even a butt cheek. This is the most accurate version in both style and size to the original lamp seen in A Christmas Story.
Both the leg and a socket under the lampshade provide independent lighting options. Feel free to also use them simultaneously, thanks to a 3-way push button switch. A 15W bulb is included in the leg, while the standard bulb in the top is not provided.
The top socket requires a regular 60W bulb. While I do love those bright white LEDs, having the more amber colored bulbs in this lamp just feels more authentic!
