Underwater Drone – Your Submarine Drone for Perfect Pictures
What are you kids doing out here by the pond? No, you can’t just throw our drone into the water. I don’t think you understand that water and electronics don’t mix. If you want to explore the pond with a camera, I think you’ll have better luck with the Geneinno underwater drone. So, how much do underwater drones cost?
Underwater drones range from $500 – $4,000 on average. The price is mainly affected by the depth to which the unit can go, and the quality of the camera. If you simply wish to take underwater pictures, you’ll find cameras around $100. These units won’t drive or move, but are budget friendly.
An underwater drone, or ROV, is a great way to explore those briny depths!
An underwater drone is a type of remote operated vehicle (ROV). This means you operate these ROVs by a remote controller, or in some cases a smartphone. This is not to be confused with manned drones, which are much larger and made for exploration in lieu of diving.
The Geneinno T1 drone is a professional grade underwater explorer. This drone is perfect for exploring the depths, whether it be a shipwreck, looking for buried treasure, or trying to find your wedding ring that you lost. Don’t worry, I won’t tell your wife. The good news is that when you find something, the T1 has a robotic arm that can grab items and bring them back to the surface for you.
Six powerful thrusters (4 vertical and 2 horizontal) propel the drone through the water. Zoom at 3 different speeds and hover automatically when you need it. 360 degree piloting allows for navigating into the ideal spot. Capture the perfect images and videos with the 4K HD camera and 1/2.5 inch CMOS image sensor. It has 32G for still image storage and 64G for video. If it’s dark, two 1500 lumen lights will provide the needed brightness to keep your videos looking great.
The onboard battery has a 9,000 mAh capacity that can propel the underwater drone for up to 4 hours. It’s even TSA approved, so pack your drone along for underwater exploration when you’re away from home!
How deep can underwater drones go?
ROV underwater drones can go between 50-500 feet deep on average. This depends on the particular drone you’re using. Many underwater drones come with a tether cord, which limits their depths to the length of the cable. However, this also prevents losing the drone underwater.
The Geneinno T1 underwater drone can go as deep as 492 feet (150m). This makes it one of the best in class drones for non-commercial use. This drone has anti-corrosion and an underwater proof build with a 4.5mm thick cable. If preferred, a 100m maximum depth option submarine drone is also available.
