The chopping board is made from Beech hardwood, which offers a smooth, cream-colored background. Each board is slightly unique as there is natural variation in the grain of the wood!
Engraved into the wood is the silhouette of the main character, Walter White. On the bottom, you’ll find the words “Let’s Cook” etched as well. In true Breaking Bad style, the words also reference two elements of the periodic table:
- The ‘S’ is for Sulfur, number 16 on the table
- ‘CO’ represents Cobalt, which is number 27
Everything is sanded, rounded, and smoothed for a truly beautiful piece. The board is finished with a conditioner made of beeswax and linseed oil, to add a protective finish and subtle shine.

How do you wash the Breaking Bad cutting board?
To wash the Breaking Bad cutting board, use a soft cloth or sponge with soap and hot water. Scrub and rinse, then allow to air dry. Never soak a wooden cutting board, and definitely do not place it in your dishwasher.
It’s also recommended to moisturize and protect the wood after washing by using a butcher block cream. I know how dry my hands feel after washing so I completely understand!
Once you’ve given it time to soak in (generally overnight) just give it a good buffing with a soft cloth. Then the board is ready for whatever you’re going to throw at it, or on it, next!
