The KFC fire log is a real fireplace starter log made from 100% recycled cardboard and wax. This scented log comes infused with a smell resembling the KFC signature fried chicken recipe. You probably think I’m joking, but the KFC fire log is a real thing. Just like their chicken, KFC sells fire logs infused with their signature 11 herbs and spices. Burning it smells better than just trying to burn a piece of chicken, I promise!
This 5 lb KFC fire log is made of recycled wax and cardboard infused with the smells of fried chicken. It’s designed for use with any wood burning fixture in your home. This may be a fireplace, fire pit, wood stove, or campfire.
To use a starter log, simply open the wrapper, place the log in your fireplace, and light it up by igniting the wrapper ends.
Due to the materials it’s made from, the log will ignite pretty easily and slow burn. A KFC fire log should last around 2.5 – 3 hours. As your starter log burns down, add additional larger logs to keep the fire going. Please note that the scent is strongest from the log prior to burning.
While the KFC logs don’t really smell like chicken, they do smell like common fried chicken seasonings. Thus, the aroma will trick your brain into associating it with the fast food classic.
In fact, we definitely don’t recommend sticking your nose near the fire log once lit. We’re not liable for your singed nose hairs. You should use caution around pets, children, and Uncle Larry too – fried chicken does smell pretty delicious.
